Indications:
To prevent water freezing in concretes that are exposed to extreme cold.
Accelerate the initial setting of concrete, the risk of damage due to rapid changes in ambient temperature.
Reducing the freezing point of concrete.
Carrying out repair works in cold and icy weather.
Consumption benefits:
RW Antifreeze is a product that can be used for concreting at temperatures of +5 to -15 degrees.
By adding RW Antifreeze, the reaction of the silicates in the cement, which has been severely slowed down by the deposition of calcium hydroxide layers on it, is accelerated, and the resulting heat helps to accelerate the setting of the concrete, reducing the risks of a rapid drop in ambient temperature.
By adding RW Antifreeze to the concrete mix, the water consumption can be reduced by up to 10% without changing the concrete performance, thus increasing the compaction and density of fresh concrete and the stability of hardened concrete against water freezing and thawing cycles.
RW Antifreeze is free of chloride and nitrate, does not damage reinforcement and concrete, and is compatible with any type of cement.
Consumption rate:
To determine the amount of consumption, refer to the table below.
Consumption in terms of weight percent of cement:
In the temperature range (+5 to 0) with a grade of 300 (2%) with a grade of 350 (1.5%) and with a grade of 400 (1%)
In the temperature range (0-5) with 300 carat (2.5%) with 350 carat (2%) and with 400 carat (1.5%)
In the temperature range (5- to -10) with 300 (3%) grade, 350 grade (2.5%) and 400 (2%) grade (according to the regulations, it is better to stop concreting in this area).
Method of Use:
Pour the used RW Antifreeze into the truck and after thorough mixing with the ready-mixed concrete, start concreting.
When pouring concrete in cold weather, pay attention to the following points:
Remove the surface of the molds and reinforcements from water, snow and ice.
If possible, heat them to a temperature of more than zero degrees Celsius.
Keep the concrete temperature constant around 4 to 6 degrees Celsius.
If possible, keep the concrete warm with a suitable cover.
If the antifreeze freezes at very low temperatures, place it in a warm environment to thaw it and avoid heating it.
If necessary, materials, especially water, can be heated and the temperature of freshly poured concrete can be prevented by using a suitable coating.
During concreting, the temperature of any part of the concrete should not be less than + 5 ° C, because otherwise the chemical activity of cement hydration for setting and resistance will stop completely.
