Description
Applications:
RW C Bonding 100 significantly enhances the quality of cement mortar and is used in the following applications:
– Thin-layer repair mortar
– Patching mortar
– Floor joint sealing
– Concrete repair mortars
– Abrasion-resistant layers
– Repair, coating, and cladding work on concrete surfaces
– Mortar for installing and bonding concrete, gypsum, and stone panels
– Increasing flexural strength of concrete and mortar
– Enhancing abrasion resistance in wear-resistant floorings
– Improving tile or ceramic adhesion on surfaces
Advantages:
RW C Bonding 100 is easily added to mixing water and offers the following features:
• Excellent adhesion and non-corrosive properties.
• Reduced shrinkage.
• Increased elastic modulus.
• Superior water resistance.
• Enhanced abrasion resistance.
• Improved chemical resistance.
• Prevention of cracking and efflorescence.
• Reduced water-to-cement ratio, leading to higher compressive strength.
• Resistant to high-alkaline environments.
Dosage:
– For mixing with mortar/concrete: 5–10% of cement weight, depending on concrete thickness.
– For bond slurry preparation: 10 kg per 50 kg cement.
– For repair mortar/patching: 3.5 kg RW C Bonding 100 mixed with a 20 kg bag of RW N Repair.
Application Instructions:
A. For Mortar or Concrete:
Mix with a portion of the mixing water and add to the prepared concrete, or directly add to the mortar before pouring. Ensure thorough mixing.
Key Notes:
1. Aggregates must have proper gradation, be thoroughly washed, and sized according to the mortar layer thickness and surface finish.
2. Curing and frost protection are critical.
B. Bond Slurry Preparation:
Mix 1 part RW C Bonding 100 with 5 parts cement. Add water until a thin, workable slurry is achieved. Apply with a stiff brush.
Key Notes:
1. Surfaces must be clean, free of oil, grease, or loose particles.
2. Absorbent surfaces must be fully saturated beforehand.
3. Minimum ambient temperature: 5°C.
C. Repair Mortar and Patching:
Mix 1 part RW C Bonding 100 with 5 parts RW N Repair. Add water as needed to form a workable paste. Apply with a trowel or float.
Key Notes:
1. Surfaces must be clean and contaminant-free; mechanically remove loose areas.
2. Pre-moisten surfaces before repair/patching.
3. Minimum ambient temperature: 5°C.
4. Clean tools with water immediately after use; use mechanical methods if dried.
