Applications:
– Production of workable concrete
– Production of concrete with high impact and abrasion resistance
– Production of fire-resistant concrete
– Use in ready-mix concrete and precast concrete elements
– Applications in gypsum and prefabricated gypsum panels, in addition to concrete and cement
– Production of cement boards (Iranite)
– Construction of wall coatings (Romalin)
Benefits:
– Enhances concrete durability under harsh environmental conditions
– Significantly reduces cracking
– Prevents substantial financial losses due to reinforcement corrosion and concrete deterioration
– Serves as an effective replacement for thermal reinforcement
– Prevents bleeding and promotes proper hydration
– Reduces permeability and increases resistance to freeze-thaw cycles
– Improves compressive strength and abrasion resistance
Dosage:
The typical dosage of RW Fiber PP varies between 0.6 to 3 kg per cubic meter of concrete, depending on the desired performance for replacing thermal reinforcement and preventing early cracking or shrinkage. For instance, in slabs, the average dosage is approximately 1 kg per cubic meter. In precast elements utilizing the slurry infiltrated system, a higher dosage of RW Fiber PP is required to achieve the desired flexural strength.
Application Method:
RW Fiber PP can be added to concrete at any stage. Typically, it is first mixed with aggregates, followed by the addition of water. Alternatively, RW Fiber PP can be pre-mixed with the design water, which is then added to the dry mortar. In this case, mixing should continue for 3 to 4 minutes to ensure a uniform and homogeneous mixture. When using ready-mix concrete, RW Fiber PP should be gradually introduced into the mixer, and high-speed mixing should be maintained until the fibers are uniformly dispersed throughout the concrete.
Note:
RW Fiber PP is hydrophobic and exhibits zero water absorption. Therefore, additional water should never be added to improve concrete workability.
